Run

Yesterday, the girls both participated in a one mile Cross Country Run at the High School. Alie competed against 74 third grade students from neighboring elementary schools. She placed 2nd! It was a tight race, she took the lead a couple of times! It was very exciting to watch. So exciting, I put my camera down as she finished. Lindsay competed against 76 students in her grade and came in 13th! It was a very hot day, about 90 degrees. It was hard, but a great race!

They started on the football field, ran the track, and then went up onto a nearby trail.

After coming off the trail, they were squirt with water, before heading back down to the track and field again.

They are already talking about next year! Alan was so glad he could be there.

Alie accepting recognition at Friday Flag. Even though she placed second overall, they recognized that she was first from her school. She thought that was pretty neat. They played the Rocky theme song as a few of the kids from each grade that placed in the top three jogged in. Cute. Also cute, the way she waved her hand as they called her name.
